Stick Figure Night Live! is a series of stick figure comic “recreations” of episodes of Saturday Night Live. Just as the show itself is performed live, the comics are drawn “live” while watching the show (with the occasional assist from DVR or some digital clean-up post scanning).
You know, last week instead of mentioning Rachel Dratch and the sketch she and Will Ferrell did back in the day I almost went with Ana Gastayer and the music teacher/singers sketches…the lesson: I’m not psychic.
Interesting to see Will Forte pulling cameo duty, though glad to see him because he’s great.
I can only imagine the digital short this week will only fuel rumors of this being Andy Samberg’s last season, as it felt as much like a celebration of 100 shorts as it did a swan song. My question (because I didn’t go back to re-watch it): Was there even a mention or indication of “Lazy Sunday”, which started the whole modern digital short thing off? So many cameos but I don’t think I saw Chris Parnell in the mix. Just something I noticed…or didn’t, if one of those things was there after all. John Hamm grinding on Justin Bieber was something.
Season finale next week with Mick Jagger. I can’t wait to see the awesome FREEJACK parody. Wait, what year is it?
